Imagine being a single parent of 4 small kids facing homelessness. Imagine struggling with depression and losing faith that there is any hope for you. Imagine waking up one morning and learning a loved one is no longer with you, or that you are no longer employed. Many families live in these realities.
You can help restore and heal families. The Family Restoration and Healing Center works to draw attention to these issues, break the silence and provide families with resources to help heal the mind, body and spirit.
Every day I meet families facing financial challenges, students stressing over college acceptance and loans, and midlife parents feel sandwiched between caring for their children and their aging parents. Families and communities are hurting.
YOUR donation today will give children, teens, and adults the coping strategies, life skills, effective behavioral health, and connectedness to individuals and institutions that can support them!
While the holiday season is a time of peace and happiness for many, it's a time of uncertainty and despair for so many around us. We cannot always see others' pain. The increase of self-destructive and aggressive behaviors in our society have caused increases in family violence, suicides, depression, anxiety, and toxic relationships.
Your investment is a promise of hope today and for generations to come. Together, we can reduce crime, violence, and risky behavior in our streets and neighborhoods.
Our friends and neighbors need the Community Conversations, positive youth and workforce development programs, pastoral and crisis counseling, mental health services, and prevention education to help them get through tough times.
