Our Structure and Accountability:​

The Family Restoration and Healing Center (FRHC) is a non-profit organization which is tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, we must annually meet all local and federal laws and regulations for a public charity. FRHC undergoes an annual financial review by an independent accountant whose examination complies with generally accepted auditing standards.

At Family Restoration and Healing Center, we know success is measured by how well our mission is achieved. Our governing board ensures effective governance over the policies and financial resources of the organization and is responsible for fulfillment of our mission to advance emotional and nutritional wellness to communities. Annually, we certify adherence to standards that include comprehensive requirement for financial reporting, governance, ethics, diversity and operations. As a non-profit, our funding advances our programs for the community.

Stress Management

These workshops will teach the symptoms, causes and coping strategies to reduce stress in one’s life.


Anger Management

Classes will teach individuals how to recognize and manage triggers for anger, de-escalate situations, learn skills for relaxation, communication, and problem solving.”


Communication & Conflict Resolution

These workshops will include listening skills, avoiding conflict through clear communication, communicating difficult messages, and effective parent/ teen communication.

Depression in Adolescents

These classes will teach professionals, parents, and youth how to detect and treat depression in youth ages 13-18.


Family Caregiving

Workshops help family caregivers cope with stress, build a toolbox of resources, and navigate the journey of caregiving


Nutritional Wellness

Workshop topics include nutrition, eating healthy on a budget, reducing obesity, setting healthy lifestyle goals, smoking cessation, etc.

Previous Workshops and Events
  • iSucceed Workforce Development Training (for teens/young adults)

    • Program includes job readiness, skills training, job placement assistance, and ongoing case management with linkage to social supports.


  • Risk Avoidance Training (for preteens/teens): (8 hours)

    • “I Choose To Wait” teen pregnancy prevention program teaches goals & decision making, emphasizing abstinence as a safe and proud choice. 


  • Character/Positive Youth Development Training (for preteens/teens) (up to 8 hours)

    • Program includes character development, adolescent development, and skills to help youth transition to adulthood.


  • Parent–Child Communication Training (up to 12 hours)

    • Program provides case scenarios and skills for effective parent child communication and helping your child achieve his/her goals.

  • Mental Health First Aide (8 hours)

    • Trains individuals (e.g. employees, supervisors, family members) to identify if an individual is experiencing a mental health crisis and what to do until help arrives. 


  • Family Caregiving Training (4-8 hours)

    • Workshops help family caregivers cope with stress, build a toolbox of resources, and navigate the journey of caregiving.

  • Achieving 360 Wholeness/Life Skills Training (1-4 hours)

    • Workshops will teach strategies for achieving emotional, physical and spiritual wellness. This includes coping with stress, anger and hurt.

  • Nutritional Wellness Training (1-2 hour)

    • Workshops provide strategies for setting healthy lifestyle goals, and understanding the connection between foods and moods.
